FAQ
1) Who are you?
I am an independent insurance agent and broker. Independent means that I do not work representing exclusively one company. As an agent I represent companies directly. As a broker I have arrangements with other agents to help me quote with companies I do not represent directly.
2) What do you do?
The way I work is simple to understand.
a) You let me know what you are looking for. (Use the form in the Get Quotes page or give me a call)
b) I contact my network of insurance companies and agents and get you quotes.
c) If you like any of the quotes, you purchase the policy. If the quote you liked was from one of the companies I represent directly, you would purchase the policy directly through me. If the quote you liked was from one of my agents, you would purchase the policy directly through that agent. I would continue to be your point of contact for any future insurance need.
3) Which companies do you have access?
I have arrangements with a network insurance companies and agents. I am able to get you quotes from many of the principal insurance companies in the market. Keeping a list posted in this faq it is not practical as companies and agents in the network may change. Send me a message and I can provide you a list of the companies I have available at the moment.
2) Do I pay extra for using your independent services?
No. I get compensated by the standard commissions the insurance company pays, so your rate is not "inflated" in any way.
3) What is the advantage of using you versus using somebody else?
There are several benefits. Your insurance needs are various and because of that I can function as a single point of contact for all your insurance procurement. I have many years of experience and I am a real face providing individualized, personal touch. I believe that getting you the best deal is a win-win approach. You get the best deal and I hopefully get repeated business, referrals and positive references from you. I think this approach saves you time and money and that is what I do.
4) What are your qualifications?
I started in the insurance business in 1995, I have a graduate degree in sciences and hold a professional insurance designation. I also have many years of experience in group benefits administration and group benefits consulting. So I tend to bring the consultancy approach, trying to find out what you need and using my network to get you the best deal I can.
